SOS Trees Coalition, Saskatoon offre toutes sortes de ressources sur leur site web pour nous aider à entretenir nos arbres. En plus, chaque printemps SOS Trees organise une semaine d’activités afin de célébrer les arbres. Friends of the Saskatoon Afforestation Areas maintains and promotes two natural areas in south-west Saskatoon – the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area and the George Généreux Regional Park. They offer resource materials in French and English, including 10 booklets outlining the history of the Richard St. Barbe Baker Afforestation Area as well as a guide for teachers and parents.

The importance of trees in urban areas became a key municipal election issue in Winnipeg thanks to several non-profit organizations. Trees Please, Winnipeg invited municipal candidates to sign a pledge promising to protect and plant trees. CPAWS Manitoba is calling for Assiniboine Forest to become a national urban park so it’s protected in perpetuity. Assiniboine Forest is the largest urban forest in Canada.
